Dear Parents,Today is international day of the boy child.
An old proverb says,”Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”Teach your son the right way to live life when he is young, so that when he is older, he will know the right way to live and conduct himself, as he was taught consistently throughout childhood.Raising sons is not easy. It is hard to know exactly the “right way” to do things, as our children didn’t come with a manual. I am concerned about this myself, being a mom of a boy child. I do know that psychological and behavioral research can provide us with some great direction on how to raise a boy right.We may not always get things “right” as parents, but we can keep trying every day to do what what is best for them based on what we know and learn.Raising boys isn’t a walk in the park. If you want your son to develop into a good man, then it is going to take time, energy, effort, and lots of love and patience. They don’t come with a manual, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of well-researched resources online and books on the market about raising boys.Keep pursing knowledge and resources on how to raise your son in the world today, because we all need as much help as we can get. Keep learning, keep trying, and keep loving him daily.
